Smart cable solutions

By combining several functions in one cable, you get a cost efficient solution that also saves time. The new generation of smart cable solutions developed by Nexans Norway integrate both power cable, empty tubes for blowing fiber, tubes with pre-blown fiber, or grounding wire in the same product.

Trenching
The width of the trench can be reduced which reduces the trench cost. The time needed for for excavation/blasting is reduced. There will be less need for added backfill mass.

Transportation
The number of drums is reduced, which reduces transport costs and less drums on the truck, environmentally friendly.

Jointing
Few or no joints lead to safer facilities and faults in joints.

Laying costs
Easier / faster laying leads to saving time. 

Special lengths
In addition to being able to deliver a complete product with several functions, the cable can also be delivered in the correct length adapted to the project. Custom lengths reduce the total cost of the project. Fewer drums provide a clearer/tidier workplace (space-saving).

Unique marking
The outer sheath of the cable can be embossed with the customer's own unique number.

Factory blown fiber
TSLF-OF is a cable with pre-blown fiber, in one or more tubes.

Drum service
Each drum is marked according to the customer's wishes, to indicate the project and part length.
