Design and Application

With 48 RJ45 ports in only 1U, this panel provides capacity to directly support 48 port switch connections, substantially minimising rack space usage and freeing up room for deploying other applications.

The panel is designed to accommodate 48 LANmark-6A ULTIM connectors (N420.960). It is not compatible with other connectors in the range.

The connector orientation is “latch-up" in upper row and "latch-down" in lower row, facilitating easy patching, particularly when used with LANmark-6A ULTIM patch cords (N11A.U1Fxxx-series), which feature a long latch protector on the boot for improved access to the plug latch.
Printed port numbering is positioned on the side opposite the latch to ensure visibility. The upper row is numbered 1 to 24 and the lower row 25 to 48. 

Nexans High Density Patch Panel features 48 RJ45 ports in only 1U, providing capacity to directly support 48 port switch connections. It significantly contributes to reducing rack room and to free-up space for other services.

The panel is designed to accommodate 48 LANmark-6A ‘high density’ connectors (N420.66A-HD), which are supplied with the panel as a kit. The connectors are delivered in ECO-24 packaging for ease of use and reduction of waste.

Connectors are mounted “latch up / latch down” to enable easy patching. Port numbering is on the opposite side of the latch to keep it visible at all times. Numbering is vertical from left to right.

The panel is designed to be used with Nexans LANmark UniBoot patch cords which feature a long latch protector, allowing easy unlatching of the plug even in fully populated panels.

The panel is entirely made of metal, allowing to support the weight load of 48 cables and offers a rear cable management with 48 individual cable tie features.

Connection of the panel to earth is achieved with a unique auto-connect feature removing the need for individual bonding conductors or earthing screws at the rear of the panel.

The panel is supplied with rack fixings and cable ties.

Installation

To install the LANmark-6A ULTIM connectors in the panel, they must be fitted with a keystone clip. Two bags of 24 clips are provided with the panel, for that purpose.

The panel is grounded via a unique auto-connect feature on the front edges, eliminating the need for separate bonding conductors or rear-mounted earthing screws. 
Its robust steel construction is designed to support the weight of 48 cables and includes rear cable management with 48 dedicated cable tie points.
Rack fixings and cable ties are supplied with the panel.
