WATERLINK FEVE 1.8 / 3kV is a submarine cable construction, specifically designed for aquaculture and fish farms, for the harsh and varying weather conditions in Norway. The cable is manufactured to withstand the harsh conditions it may be exposed to both during installation and operation.

 

WATERLINK FEVE 1.8 / 3kV is a grease filled, double armored, submarine cable construction, with single mode fiber optics included in the cable. The cable is mainly used as power supply cable between shore/land and fish farm or aquaculture units at sea, but is also approved for other submarine cable systems. The cable armoring consists of galvanized steel wires which meet the requirements of NEK 400 Fish farms. The cable is designed for use in all classes defined in NEK 9415 (Floating aquaculture).
It is recommended that the maximum voltage drop along the cable don`t exceed approximately 4%, to be in accordance with NEK 400-5-525.

 

OPTIONS

WATER LINK FEVE 1.8 / 3kV normally supplied with a fiber element G12x9 / 125 single mode. This can either be removed or modified to a multimode fibre as desired. It is how ever recommended that single mode is used, due to the restrictions for multimode at long lengths. It is also possible to include control or signal pairs.
